It matters because ovulation is calculated by subtracting the luteal phase length from your total cycle length. If your luteal phase is shorter or longer than 14 days, using the Custom Luteal Phase tab provides more accurate predictions.

For the most reliable results, wait until the first day of your missed period to take a home pregnancy test.
